If you prefer very hot coffee, preheating helps. Run hot water through the brewer and warm the cup before the real extraction, especially in cold weather or after the Minipresso has been sitting in a cold vehicle.

2. Manual pumping is easy enough for many users—but it is still work

WACACO says the compression force can vary by capsule and may require roughly 6–12 kg of force. The company recommends holding the brewer with two hands. That is manageable for many people, but it is worth knowing if you have limited hand strength or expect one-button convenience.

3. It is fundamentally a single-shot brewer

With up to 45 ml output, one brew cycle is a small serving. Making coffee for two people—or making yourself a stronger double—means repeating the hot-water, capsule and pumping workflow. The main travel limitation is not pressure or battery life—it is hot water. The Minipresso NS does not heat water internally, so it is less self-contained than a battery-powered self-heating espresso maker.
